The roof on your home is the first line of defense against rain, snow, hail, sleet, and other extreme weather.
If your roof is leaking or damaged it can cause a substantial amount of damage in a very short amount of time and can also cause future problems like mold growth if not addressed early. That is why we are proud to offer 23-point roofing inspections.
Some Reasons to Schedule a Roofing Inspection
- Preventative Maintenance: You should have your roof looked at on an annual basis. This allows you to get ahead of any issues before they become expensive to fix. Something as simple as cracked caulk around flashings can lead to thousands of dollars of damage. If you haven’t had your roof looked at in the last year you will want to schedule an inspection.
- Strong Winds: Many shingles on roofs are only rated for 60 mph winds. If the seals on your roof are broken, the shingles will possibly blow off, crease, and allow water penetration into your home. Many times home insurance will cover this expense if the wind damage can be attributed to a storm in the last year.
- Natural Aging: Most roofs installed on homes will only last 15-25 years. If you are approaching 15 years or do not know how old your roof is, you will want to schedule an inspection right away so we can detect any issues early on.
- Ventilation: If your attic gets really hot in the summers like an oven it will bake your shingles and will cause thermal cracking on them which creates water entry points into your home. This is the number one reason shingles do not last as long as they should. Also if your attic is not properly ventilated with proper intakes and exhaust it will create moisture in your attic which causes mold and air quality issues in your home causing sickness.
- Hail: If you had a hail storm in your area you will want us to take a look immediately. Hail can puncture your shingles which allows water to get inside your home. That is why insurance companies pay for hail damage on homeowner policies more than any other type of loss. You may not think you have an issue but most of the time you will not be able to see the damage from the ground. We will go on the roof and inspect the shingles on every elevation to determine if further action is necessary.
What to Expect At Your Roof Inspection
During our 23-point roofing inspection we will look at your entire roofing system not just the roof itself and we will arrive at our home at the appointment time set by the office. If we are running late we will send you a text or give you a call. Once we arrive, we will knock and ring the door bell. We will be wearing a shirt or sweater with our company logo which is Turbo the Turtle so you know that it is us.
During our inspections we will always record our proprietary video and share it with you in person. If we do not find anything wrong during our inspection we will still share our findings with you. If we do find any issues on the roof we will also share them with you and let you know the severity of the problem(s) if they exist. We record these issues with our proprietary video and cannot send you the video so it is vitally important for all decision makers to be home to go over all solutions together.
This 23-point roofing inspection can catch any issues early on which will extend the life of your roof and potentially save you thousands of dollars down the line. Call us at 1.87.ROOFS.R.US (1-877-663-7787) or fill out your information below to schedule an inspection today.
