The village of Montgomery is a western suburb of Chicago located in Kendall County in Illinois. The first wooden home built in Montgomery Illinois was in 1836 by Daniel Gray. Settlers started calling the area “Graystown” after Daniel Gray’s last name. Daniel must have been a humble man or perhaps he didn’t like his last name as he did not want the town to be named after him. Daniel convinced the settlers to name the area Montgomery after Montgomery County in New York state where he was originally from.
Daniel Gray was an entrepreneur as he had several companies including a fabrication shop, a store, a tavern, one of the top stone flour mills in the area, and more. Today Daniel Gray’s water powered flour mill has been restored and converted into an amazing event space, restaurant, and speakeasy. When Daniel Gray died he owned the majority of the buildable lots in Montgomery Illinois. Daniel Gray’s family and heirs sold those lots as time went on and the town grew from there. Today there are over 20,000 people residing in the village of Montgomery. You can learn more about the village of Montgomery by visiting https://www.montgomeryil.org/
Here at Lifetime Xteriors we are proud to be Montgomery roof replacement contractors. Montgomery Illinois gets hailstorms frequently due to the geography and proximity to the Fox River. We have been very successful in getting full roof replacements approved by insurance even when claims were previously denied. Below you will see a picture of a roof replacement that we did in Montgomery where the insurance company did not want to pay for the copper roof above the bay window. We were able to get insurance to pay for the copper, the asphalt shingles, the gutters, downspouts, some of the landscaping lighting, and even some of the siding.
Below you will find another couple photos. This roof was previously denied by the insurance company. Lifetime Xteriors was able to turn an insurance denial (before the customer was working with us) to an insurance full roof replacement approval in Montgomery. The insurance company was trying to say that the hail damage was not severe enough to approve a roof replacement. The problem with the insurance companies assessment was that the hail actually broke the matting on the shingles which means it broke all the way through the shingle. To the naked eye it would not look that bad but using a digital microscope you are able to see how the shingles are punctured in a few different areas throughout the roof. We were able to submit our forensic evidence to the insurance company to get a full roof replacement.
As the photos above show sometimes you have to use a digital microscope to show subtle damage but sometimes the damage is more obvious when you are on the roof. In the picture below you will see that the hail broke a hole in the roof vent. Even as apparent as this damage was the homeowner wasn’t able to see the hole in their vent from the ground. It is a good thing that this Montgomery Illinois resident took advantage of our free roofing inspection. When we did our inspection we were able to document it and then tarp it up until the time that insurance paid for the entire roof replacement.
We would be honored if you chose Lifetime Xteriors as your roof replacement contractor in Montgomery Illinois. You can call us at 1-87-ROOFS-R-US or you can fill out your contact information at the bottom of the page.
