Itasca is a small village located in the north west suburbs of Chicago but do not let the population size fool you as there is much to do and see in Itasca and is a great place to live. One of our favorite places to visit is the Springbrook Nature Center where this much to learn about local wildlife and has vultures, hawks, and owls! In the summers, the water park is a fun place to cool off with the family. Itasca is also home to two golf courses with Eaglewood Golf Course and Itasca Country Club. If visiting Itasca Country Club you will want to eat at the Fox & Turtle, one of the best restaurants in the area. The train station and easy access to highways makes Itasca a commuter’s dream. Itasca also has a special place in our hearts as Itasca Bank & Trust was one of the first banks to give us a loan when we were starting our business.
Itasca is also home to many beautiful and stunning homes. The photo at the top of the page is a home we completed where we were hired as Itasca roofing contractors. Our client had us install Owens Corning TruDefinition® Duration® Shingles in the Driftwood color to compliment the olive green siding. You can see what your house would look like with different roofing colors by using the Design EyeQ tool and clicking here.
The photo below this paragraph shows what the roof looked like before we did the roof replacement. As you can tell the ridge shingles (the shingles at the very top of the roof) were in really bad shape. Our client did not even know that as they had never been on their roof and could not see how bad they were. That is why you will want to have a professional Itasca roofing contractor inspect your roof if you have not had it looked at recently. Click here if you would like to learn more about when to schedule an inspection.
The photo above this paragraph shows what the roof looks like from the same angle after we completed the Itasca roof replacement. We eliminated the turtle vents and added ridge vent. The reason the ridge shingles were so bad to begin with was because there was not enough ventilation. The majority of homes we go to do not have proper ventilation and ridge vent will help substantially and also will improve the look of the roof.
The photo below shows how we protected the home with netting and tarps wherever shingles were thrown when they were being removed. Protecting the home during a roof install is of the utmost importance to us.
The final photo below this paragraph shows what the roof looked like from the back yard. Again the shingle color choice was key to really make the roof pop with the siding color. That is why we are always happy to help our clients choose something that they don’t just like, but love!
